Introduction

This course is designed for those of you competing in the F1® in Schools STEM Challenge! You will take part in a multi-disciplinary challenge, in which you will work as teams using CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyse, manufacture, test, and then race miniature compressed air powered cars made from the F1® in Schools model block. In this course, we will make sure you are familiar and comfortable with the fundamental physics which will affect your design. This will give you a strong understanding of the aerodynamic effects you can take advantage of. As part of this course, you will also learn how to sketch your designs which will be useful for your portfolio.
